Today I will mainly introduce to you the precautions for pine wood piles. Without further ado, let’s read on.
Pine wood piles are wooden piles made of pine wood. They are mainly used to treat soft foundations, river embankments, etc. Because the rosin they contain can well prevent groundwater and bacteria from corroding them, they are known as "flooded ten thousand year old pine". Therefore, pine piles are suitable for working below the groundwater level. However, pine piles should not be used in areas where the groundwater level changes greatly or the groundwater is highly corrosive.
1. Pine wood piles cannot be sawed into other shapes, especially they cannot be sawed in half into a semi-circular shape, because pine wood piles are made of "logs", and if they are sawed into a semi-circular shape, they will quickly bend strongly and lose their effectiveness;
2. Do not promote "pine piles" as "cedar piles" or other piles. Most common woods are water-resistant and will quickly turn black, deformed and rotten in water. This is especially true for fir wood, which must not be used;
3. The design method of pine pile composite foundation is similar to that of ordinary composite foundation, but it should be noted that the pile center distance is often very small;
4. Consider the impact force of pile sinking that the pine pile can withstand;
5. The horizontal resistance of the foundation soil in silt areas is very small, and the upper ends of the pine pile groups are prone to overall horizontal displacement, causing damage to ground facilities. Therefore, even if the earthquake horizontal load requirements are not considered, most of the time a stone layer is laid between the pine piles as much as possible. Improve the horizontal stiffness of the pile group. The stone layer can only be laid manually, and the pine piles should be squeezed as tightly as possible one by one;
Treatment of pine piles:
1. The top of the pine pile needs to be sawed flat, and the sawing should be based on the designed height.
2. The small end of the pine stake can be used to cut it into a 750px long tip.
3. The pile body must be specially protected during transportation and construction, and the pile head can be tied with iron wire.
