Pine wood piles are wooden pillars made of fir wood. They are mainly used to solve soft roadbeds, river lifts, etc. The raw material is fir. What are its characteristics?
Pine wood piles have some unique characteristics when used as foundation foundations, as detailed below:
1. High toughness and relatively low density, with the advantages of lightweight concrete and high strength.
2. Good ductility and can withstand impact and vibration effects
3. Under moderate maintenance standards, it has good performance
4. The connection structure is simple, easy to produce and process, and can be made into various products.
5. Pine wood piles have strong water absorption and swelling and shrinkage properties. When dry fir wood absorbs moisture, the absorbed water will increase, and the volume of the fir wood will expand.
6. Because of the structural characteristics of fir, it has good compressive strength, compressive strength, bending strength and bending strength.
7. If the pine pile has defects, it can be easily observed from the surface, so that the defective wood will not be used for the main structure.
Issues to note when using pine piles:
1. Pine wood piles are made of "wood" and do not need to be sawn into other shapes, especially if they cannot be sawed in half to form a semicircular element shape. The semicircular element pile will bend sharply after being cut quickly, resulting in loss of effect.
2. Do not promote "pine wood piles" as "cedar wood piles" or other piles. Most common wood is resistant to water and will quickly turn black, deform and rot in water. Especially for pine wood, Do not use it. Perhaps, some other types of wood can also be "blistered for thousands of years", such as mahogany furniture.
3. The layout of pine pile composite foundation is similar to that of general composite foundation, except that the pile center distance is usually not large.
4. Fully consider the pile-driving impact force that pine piles can withstand. The pile-driving impact performance will be within 300kg.m; if it gets larger, even wood with a tail diameter of 400px will not be able to bear it.
5. The horizontal resistance of the subgrade soil in sludge areas is not great, and horizontal displacement is easy to occur above the pine pile group, causing damage to the road equipment; therefore, even if the horizontal load requirements for earthquake disasters are not taken into account, most of the paving is between pine piles. A stone layer is used to increase the horizontal bending stiffness of the pile group as much as possible. The stone layer can only be paved manually, and the pine piles should be squeezed as tightly as possible one by one.
The above are the performance of pine piles and the precautions when using them. If you need to know more information, you are welcome to call our customer service.
