1. Purchase and storage of wooden piles

① Wooden piles are mainly purchased at the local timber market and transported to the construction site by car; for purchase, choose pine logs with a diameter of 4m and 300px. There should be no voids, cracks or other defects that would damage the strength of the pile body.

② During the lifting, loading, unloading and stacking process of piles, the pile body must not be hit or vibrated to avoid damage to the pile body. When using wooden piles, they should be used in the order they arrive at the construction site, and the integrity of the wooden piles should be checked. The stacking foundation must be It should be firm and flat, and there should be no subsidence to avoid deformation of the pile body.

2. Test the pile and determine the pile length.

Since the community wall is about 170 meters long, test piles are arranged every 20 meters along the starting end of the wall. Therefore, 9 test piles were selected to roughly determine the pile length and stress conditions.

3. Before piling, the top of the pile must be cut off and the pile body must be protected. There must be no collision scars that may affect the function, so as to ensure that the top of the pile will not be damaged during piling.

4. Production of pine wood piles

① The diameter of the pile should be strictly controlled in accordance with the design requirements, and the shape should be straight and round;

②The small end is cut into a 750px long tip, which is helpful for hitting the load-bearing layer;

③When more than 80% of the total number of piles are ready, the excavator switches to piling construction to avoid slow movement of the excavator waiting for piles;

④ Place the prepared piles in place according to different sizes and usage areas to prepare for pile driving;

(5) It is strictly prohibited to use unqualified wood or other wood instead of pine wood.

5. Measurement and setting out

Before the construction of pine piles, surveyors set out according to the design drawings, determine the pile position of each pile, and mark it with measuring piles.
