The soft soil foundation reinforced by pine piles is a composite foundation. The composite foundation is composed of natural foundation soil and pile body. Compared with other composite foundations, pine pile composite foundations have similarities except for the different materials of the piles. Pine piles The composite foundation is replaced by low-modulus, low-strength soil of the same volume as the piles. When bearing external loads, the stress in the foundation is redistributed according to the pile-soil stress ratio. So what should be paid attention to when using pine piles for foundations?
1. Pine wood piles are made of "logs". Do not force it into another shape, especially if it cannot be cut into two halves to become a semicircle. A semicircular pile will bend strongly after a short period of time and will not work.
2. Do not mistake "pine piles" for "fir piles" or other piles. Most common woods are afraid of water and will quickly turn black, deform, and rot in water. Fir wood needs more attention in this regard and must not be used.
3. The design method of pine pile composite foundation is similar to that of ordinary composite foundation, except that the distance between piles is often smaller.
4. Considering the piling impact force that pine wood piles can withstand, the piling impact energy is within 300kg.m; no matter how large it is, even a log with a tail diameter of 400px cannot withstand it.
5. The foundation soil in the silt area generally has very low horizontal resistance, and the upper end of the pine pile group is prone to overall horizontal displacement, which will damage the ground facilities; therefore, even if the load requirements of the earthquake level are not considered, a layer is mostly laid between the pine piles during construction. The stone layer can increase the horizontal stiffness of the pile group as much as possible. The stone layer can only be laid manually. During construction, try to squeeze the pine piles one by one.
