However, its application conditions are also relatively harsh, especially the foundation that supports it. It must first have sufficient bearing capacity. If the bearing capacity is insufficient, it will lead to settlement of the extended foundation. In severe cases, it will lead to the bridge Collapse; secondly, it must be stable and reliable, and the place where the water flow washes is obviously not suitable for selection, otherwise the soil under the foundation will be hollowed out, causing the bridge to collapse.

The rows of wooden piles under the extended foundation are generally called pine piles. This is because pine piles have better durability under proper maintenance conditions; and pine piles are made of "logs" and do not need to be sawed into other pieces. The shape of the pile should not be cut in half to form a semi-circle. The semi-circular pile will soon be strongly bent and lose its effect.
